The UK's top ska tribute band

The Refinements are a live ska band, hailing from London. Our core set is covers of two tone ska from the early eighties - think The Specials, Madness, Bad Manners, The Beat, The Selecter...positive, upbeat party ska tracks that you can't help but dance to!

Each band member has extensive live and studio experience, with over 100 years of gig experience between us.

We're flexible on price, date and location, and offer a complete, reliable entertainment package. We are ideal for Birthday Parties of all sizes.

All our equipment is PAT tested for electrical safety and we have full Public Liability Insurance. We provide our own PA, amps and lighting equipment, and we're happy to adjust our set list and timings to fit your requirements.

Pricing

Our fees vary depending on the event location, equipment required and amount of time we'll be playing for.

We regularly check prices of other cover bands and consistently undercut our competition while providing you with a fantastic experience. Our aim is to entertain and we often receive bookings through word of mouth recommendation.

We're not the cheapest cover band out there, but we believe that when it comes to live bands you get what you pay for. We provide fantastic value for money and charge less than other bands of our size and quality.

When choosing a cover band for a Birthday party, consider the following:

• Are the band members experienced musicians? (We are)
• Do the band sound like the real thing? (We do - compare us to the rest...)
• Does the band have brilliant live brass? (We do)
• Does the band have a long list of testimonials, and years of playing history? (We do)
• Does the band provide stage and dancefloor lighting? (We do)
• Will the band provide a large, high quality PA system? (We do)
• Does the band dress the part? (We do - tonic suits all round!)
• Does the band take a large deposit for the booking? (We only require a reasonable 10% deposit)
• Does the band have experience of playing a large number of events? (We do)
• Does the band have public liability insurance? (We do)
• Is the band's equipment PAT safety tested to current standards? (Ours is)
• Will the band provide a high energy, entertaining show? (We always do)
